Return Policy
At FURNI BOSS, we strive to provide you with quality
products and an exceptional shopping experience. If, for any reason, you are
not satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Please review our return
policy outlined below.
1. Refunds
a. Refund Process: Refunds will be deposited directly into
your credit card or bank account. This process may take up to 30 working days
and begins only upon receiving the returned goods.
2. Return of Goods
a. Eligibility: Goods may be returned in terms of the
Consumer Protection Act, Act 68 of 2008 (“the CPA”). A handling fee of up to
15% may be charged if the product/packaging is not returned in its original
purchase condition.
b. Non-returnable/Non-refundable Items:
- Refund does not apply to 'Clearance sales' products
purchased online.
- Due to hygiene reasons, Linen products and Mattresses
cannot be returned once used/opened, at FURNI BOSS's discretion.
c. Conditions for Non-Acceptance of Returns:
- Returned due to a change of mind.
- Damage caused by negligence, disassembly, and permanent
installation or partially assembled, misuse, or abuse.
3. Implied Warranty
a. Consumer Protection Act (CPA): Goods carry an implied
warranty per the CPA, allowing the return of defective goods within six months
of delivery. Manufacturer's warranty also applies where applicable.
4. Return of Defective Goods
a. Options: In case of defects, options include repair,
replacement, or a refund of the product price paid.
- Customer liability for handling and shipping charges if
goods are not faulty.
b. Exclusions: Warranty does not cover defects caused by
misuse, neglect, or external factors listed in the policy.
5. Authorized Repairs and Other
Exclusions
a. Repair Authorization: Repairs may not be effected without
prior authorization from FURNI BOSS.
b. Exclusions: Several exclusions, including maintenance,
work covered by manufacturers' recall, and consequential loss or damages.
Returns Process:
1. Returning Non-Defective Products
a. Timeline: Within 7 days of collection or delivery, for
unused, complete, and sealed products.
b. Procedure: Please request for return from order history,
and Email us at INFO@FURNIBOSS.CO.ZA with pictures of items, reason for
return/exchange. We'll review the request within 48 hours.
c. Costs: Customer liable for delivery and collection costs;
applicable charges deducted from the refund.
d. Section 44(2) ECT Act: In terms of section 44(2) of the
Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, for non-defective
items, you (the customer) are liable for the delivery and collection costs of
these products.
e. Free Delivery Promotion: If your order was delivered free
of charge, you are responsible for the cost of having the product returned to
us, including the original delivery fee, a collection fee equivalent to the
delivery charge in your area, and any handling fees as per the policy.
f. Cooling off Period: According to the ECT Act, the
consumer has a “cooling off period” of 7 days. The online shopper would be
liable for the cost of returning the goods if they were dispatched/shipped
within the 7-day period.
g. Exceptions: This does not apply if the products have been
assembled, partly assembled, or where the original packaging has been
discarded.
2. Returning Defective or Damaged Products
a. Refusing Delivery: Right to refuse visibly damaged
products upon delivery. Report damage within 24 hours post-delivery for
resolution.
b. Procedure: Email us at INFO@FURNIBOSS.CO.ZA with pictures
of items, reason for return/exchange. We'll review the request within 72 hours.
c. Liability: FURNI BOSS not liable for damages not
indicated on the proof of receipt/delivery. Customer liable for damages post-48
hours.
3. Custom-Made Products Policy
a. Refund Policy: Custom-made products, tailored to
individual preferences, are non-refundable once the order is confirmed and
production begins.
b. Confirmation: Once an order is placed for custom-made
items with specific colors, fabric, dimensions, or any other personalized
features, no returns will be accepted after order confirmation.
c. Consumer Protection Act (CPA): This policy aligns with
the Consumer Protection Act, Act 68 of 2008 ("the CPA"), which
provides guidelines for non-returnable items based on personalized features.
d. Reasoning: This policy is in place due to the nature of
custom manufacturing, which involves tailoring products to your individual
requirements. Once production begins, the materials and resources used are
allocated solely for your order, rendering it non-refundable.
